I have taught courses in essay writing, humanities, and English at several universities in Canada and the United States. I especially enjoy working one on one with children and teenagers, and helping them get more interested in reading and writing. As a professional writer I can review writing thoroughly, quickly and efficiently. I am effective at inspiring students to work hard on drafts and achieve a high standard. I am energetic, enthusiastic, supportive, and sensitive to learning differences. I have worked at immigrant resource centers teaching ESL and helping newcomers adjust and feel supported in a new culture. I grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick, a province known for its friendliness and hospitality.
