Editing services

I am a member of the Canadian Editors Association and participate in meetings for professional development. My fees follow the association's guidelines for substantive and stylistic editing. I offer a free assessment and estimate of length of time and cost. My rates are sliding scale and open to some negotiation. Having a Ph.D. in philosophy, and strong analytical skills, I can quickly and efficiently review a piece of writing. Writers put their hearts and souls into their works and I provide sensitive, constructive, and thorough feedback. I regularly participate in workshops for personal growth and have strong skills in empathy and communication. Writers are free to accept or reject suggested edits. Samples of my work are available on request. As a published poet, I am meticulous about wording, meaning, rhythm and flow.
